You'll spend the day cruising to the spectacular site known as Hubbard Glacier—the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Stretching over 76 miles from its source in the Yukon, this immense river of ice is constantly advancing, creating thunderous cracks and towering icebergs as it meets the sea. Named after Gardiner Greene Hubbard, a lawyer, philanthropist, and the first president of the National Geographic Society, the glacier honors his contributions to scientific exploration and geographic research in the late 19th century.
