About the Port
Evighedsfjorden, or Eternity Fjord, unfolds for more than 75 kilometers along Greenland's west coast, its name a nod to the sense of timeless remove felt while passing through it. Sheer, jagged peaks rise directly from calm blue waters, threaded with glaciers that calve into the fjord and scatter the surface with drifting ice. Sunlight often catches the ice fields, casting shifting light across the stone and snow above.
There is no port town along this stretch, and the day is typically spent aboard while the ship moves slowly through the passage, allowing wide views of the surrounding wilderness from the open deck.
