Ships anchor offshore and passengers arrive by tender directly onto the beach, where villagers from Aneityum set up stalls selling handwoven baskets, shell jewelry, and island fare. There are no permanent structures beyond the airstrip and a scattering of shade huts, so time here centers on swimming, snorkeling along the reef edge, and simply relaxing on the sand.
